Its my pleasure to introduce to you a very talented dude by the name No Suh Foster, reppin Mobile, Alabama!! I have several reasons to be excited, first I listened to the tape front to back yesterday and I was blown away by the level of lyrical content he provided. No Suh told me some of his influences were Outkast, Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, & Common and it was refreshing to actually hear that in the music. The style is definitely all Foster but I love to pick up on the influences while listening. He also said life was his biggest influence which is evident throughout the tape. I try not to go into the first listen with any expectations because well I don't want to be disappointed. I listen to a lot of music daily & when it comes to new artists I try not to cloud my judgement by what I think it should sound like. I would much rather be convinced by the music that its worth the listen. He's been rapping since he was 9 and recording since the age of 17, this is his 3rd mixtape to date. If you're like me and you need a lil something to push you to download this project I believe the video below will give you just that!!
Ok if you made it past the video, then I know you are indeed convinced that No Suh Foster is a talented artist on the rise, he is an example of why I love underground/independent artists so much. Now days it seems like everyone is a rapper and all those talent-less individuals wear our patience thin to receive good music. Right when I get to a tired point I come across an eye opener like this that reassures me there is still plenty of talent out there and well if I don't bring it to you, who will?
-This is pretty fckn dOPE mUSiK!!
